Position Requirements and Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate in a team environment with hardware designers/engineers and mechanical designers/engineers to develop effective programming solutions
  • Owning the quality of the overall design, programs, machine interface and other key deliverables
  • Understanding and inputting to overall project execution plan, requirements and design risks
  • Reviewing all designs for accuracy, thoroughness and adherence to aligned scope
  • Determining and implementing control requirements for both new and existing systems.
  • Works closely with clients to develop clear understanding of process software requirements.
  • Participating in design reviews and prepares review materials
  • Communicating with customer(s) to resolve open items or technical questions
  • Attending and inputting to technical meetings and discusses as defined in the execution plan/schedule.
  • Willing to travel domestically and/or internationally to customer sites for field audits, commissioning assistance/trouble shooting, construction, installation and start-up support.
  • Collaborate in a team environment with hardware designers/engineers and mechanical designers/engineers to develop effective programming solutions.
  • Assisting the software design discipline in project preparation and plans, including schedules, scope execution and staffing plans, requirements and risks.
  • Reviewing all designs for accuracy, thoroughness and adherence to aligned scope
  • Assisting with assignments normally involving one major project or several smaller projects.
  • Maintaining liaison with customers while having the ability to translate customer requirements for system control to required software technical specifications
  • Communicating with customer(s) to resolve open items or technical questions
  • Reviewing progress and evaluating results; making changes in methods, design or equipment when necessary.
  • Owning the quality of the overall design, programs, machine interface and other key deliverables until delivered to the customer.
  • Determining and implementing of control requirements for both new and existing systems

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or Associate’s degree (AAS) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college/university or other relative degree.
  • One to five years of design/engineering experience
  • Practical knowledge and experience in analog and digital servo control.
  • Experience with industrial machine hardware design preferred
  • Understanding of industrial Control Systems applications (especially with machine systems) desired, including instrumentation and data acquisition for systems improvement.
  • Candidates must be able to write, modify and troubleshoot PLC (including motion control) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) programs. Allen Bradley and/or Siemens platforms are preferred.
  • Experience in software development (particularly for dynamic control applications) is desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
